We set off to New York on Saturday morning, 24th September 2011. A one week cruise to Bermuda with a night in New York before and three nights after. Return home on Wed 5/10/11.
Our cruise ship is the Holland America MS Veendam and we are staying in a great cabin with a private veranda. Our good friends Terry and Claire are next door.
In New York we are staying at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers on 7th Avenue and 53rd Street. Great location just off Broadway and up from Times Square. Loads of stuff within easy walking distance, including Central Park.
We set sail on Sunday and all day Monday we are at sea and arrive off Bermuda on Tuesday at 8:00am. That first day is spent docked at Saint George but at 6:00pm we have to be back on board for the sail to the island’s capital, Hamilton. We stay there all week. On Friday 30th Sept we set sail at 2:00pm then have Saturday at sea before arriving back in New York at 7:00am on Sunday morning. Then have Monday and Tuesday and a bit of Wednesday to explore Manhattan before getting transferred to the airport.
